Maybe I Should Read a Book

Maybe I should take some time
To just be by myself.
Maybe I should take a moment
To try to find myself.
Maybe I should take awhile
To truly understand myself.

Limp into the alcove
Sit in the waning light
Fire lit, covers pulled
And read a happy ending.
